People with disabilities play a vital role within tea growing communities. Despite this they’re often overlooked in the tea supply chain, facingbarriers to employment, education and healthcare along with higher poverty rates
Addressing these challenges requires more than policy commitments alone. While legal frameworks exist, effective implementation, improved data, and inclusive approaches are needed. These should reflect the diverse experiences of people with disabilities, especially women and girls who face intersecting inequalities.
