Typhoo re-joins Ethical Tea Partnership to drive positive change in the tea industry

The Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP), the global membership organisation dedicated to improving the lives of those working in tea, is pleased to welcome UK tea brand Typhoo back as a Member. Typhoo was previously an ETP Member for five years up until last year. Now, under new ownership by Supreme PLC since November 2024, Typhoo is reaffirming its commitment to responsible business and industry-wide collaboration.

Through its renewed ETP membership, Typhoo will contribute to sector-wide initiatives tackling the industry’s most pressing challenges, including alleviating poverty; addressing gender-based violence and protecting human rights; supporting access to essential services; and reducing deforestation.

As one of Britain’s most iconic tea brands, sourcing from Rainforest Alliance-certified estates in Kenya and Malawi, Typhoo’s participation will support ETP’s mission to create a thriving, socially just, and environmentally responsible tea industry.

Tom Franks, Chair of ETP’s Board of Directors, welcomed Typhoo’s return, stating:

“We are delighted to have Typhoo re-join as a member of ETP. Their renewed commitment to responsible business and collaboration is a testament to the importance of collective action in the tea industry. We look forward to working together to drive meaningful change.”
