ETP is today pleased to announce that two new businesses – Northern Tea Merchants Ltd. and Fine Tea Merchants Ltd. – have joined its membership as Friends of ETP.
Their membership marks a further step in the expansion of ETP’s new trading, importing and wholesaling membership category, broadening representation across the tea supply chain. Both businesses bring long-standing experience and technical expertise in sourcing, blending and supplying tea, reinforcing ETP’s collective ability to drive improvements on social and environmental issues in the tea sector.
Operating from its warehouse in Lincolnshire, Fine Tea Merchants Ltd. is an importer and wholesaler of quality teas and botanicals, supplying retailers, merchants and packers across the British Isles, continental Europe and global markets. With decades of industry experience, the company also advises clients worldwide on sourcing, sustainability and product development.
With connections to the tea and coffee trade dating back to 1926, Northern Tea Merchants Ltd. is based in Chesterfield and has extensive expertise across both sectors. The company is an organic processor of tea and coffee and contract-packs a range of products for the UK market, importing from multiple origins worldwide.
By joining ETP, both organisations will collaborate with peers across the sector and contribute to work that supports improved livelihoods, greater equality and more resilient tea supply chains in tea-producing regions.
