ETP recognises the unique position retailers hold in the tea supply chain, and we are committed to supporting our retailer members to drive transformational industry change.
ETP member
ETP members have access to full membership benefits. They are involved in programmes that directly address their supply chain priorities and have influence over the scope and locations of our work.

Our Membership Global Rules outline our current membership criteria for ETP Members. These were reviewed by the ETP Board in consultation with ETP’s current members, and a new set of criteria adopted in 2024 along with our global rules approved by members at the ETP AGM in 2025.
ETP membership is open to companies based in any country that is not listed in the UK government’s sanctions list.
Whilst ETP encourages purchasing certified tea where possible, we do not require all sites within our members’ supply chains to be certified. All ETP membership categories must provide a full list of all the sites where they purchase Camellia sinensis.

1.66p per kg – annual volumes of Camellia sinensis packed, sourced, or imported Companies that pack tea or have their own tea brand: Minimum £8,000; Maximum £480,000. Traders, brokers and wholesalers: Minimum £8,000; Maximum £120,000.
ETP membership is open to any company that packs, trades, or sells tea. ETP members gain access to our extensive tea expertise and connections at a global and producer level, offering them the innovative initiatives, creative partnerships, and support they need to help address tea’s key issues.
