Announced at 2024’s Members’ Strategy Day, our new membership criteria will come into effect from January 2025. We are dedicated to supporting our members through this transition and will be hosting a series of webinars on the principles underlining our criteria.
Our September webinar will focus on the principles 3 and 4, as both relate to ETP’s work to foster empowered, safe communities and equal opportunities. Specifically, the principles focus on the following:
- Principle 3: Commit to respecting the human and labour rights of workers and communities affected by tea production and related activities
- Principle 4: Support the protection and empowerment of women, young people, and vulnerable groups.
Members will learn how their business can meet these criteria and how it will help companies prepare for upcoming Human Rights Due Diligence legislation. Other ETP Members already committed to these responsible business practices will also share their learnings.
ETP Members will soon receive a guidance document outlining more about what you are expected to do for principles 3 and 4.
