Our first Forum in Kenya took place on 17 and 18 October at the Radisson Blu, Nairobi, in partnership with the Tea Board of Kenya.
The aim of our Kenya Forum was to convene stakeholders to discuss and collaborate on the sustainability challenges facing the Kenyan tea sector. This two-day forum offered stakeholders an opportunity to join action-orientated discussions about: the future of certification, improving livelihoods in tea, learnings from the private sector on women’s safety and gender empowerment, the impact of policy on the tea industry, and the value of industry-wide partnerships.
Attendees included ETP member companies, producer companies, government representatives, civil society organisations, and industry experts.
We were also pleased to invite stakeholders to a drinks reception on 17 October 2024 at the Radisson Blu, Nairobi, from 19:00 – 22:00.
Prior to the Forum, our members were invited to visit ETP’s ETP’s Global Low Carbon Tea and Our Tea, Our Voice programmes.
